Following on from CNB’s ground breaking Bordeaux 60 they boldly stepped into the market with the largest production monohull sailboat Groupe Beneteau were offering and immediately it was apparent that it was going to be a huge success.
Designed again by famous naval architect Philippe Briand, CNB completely re-designed the coach roof windows bringing an ultra modern stylish look to the yacht, hard chine aft and twin rudders also brought about a fresh modern feel and the performance to top it. The cockpit is open, spacious and comfortable with the companionway set to one side to allow a full seating area for 8 to port.
Down below was another complete rethink for CNB, owner’s cabin forward. Two guest cabins with en-suite means 6 to 7 guests can enjoy comfort and privacy whilst onboard. The saloon has 270 degree vision while seated at the saloon. Aft is the spacious galley with breakfast bar and a separate yet very comfortable cabin with en-suite to accommodate a professional crew.
We have been involved with the CNB 76 project since it was first thought about, Lizzie and Matt spent 2 years contributing to the design and options while the boat was in development so you will see many of their innovations aboard today. Our 76 Allegro managed 16 weeks charter in her first year which is almost unheard of in the industry as normally yachts have to build a reputation.
As you can imagine we would love to have more CNB 76s in the fleet as they make great charter propositions. A high spec boat fully kitted out and ready to sail is around €3.65m and with charter prices at €26,000 per week in the high season they offer sublime luxury at great value whether you are a charterer, owner or quarter share partner.
Inaugurating a new-generation coachroof when she was launched, the CNB 76 revolutionised the relationship with space and the sea. Who would guess that behind these flowing lines there is more than two metres of standing headroom in the saloon, from which there is a perfect view of the outside world? Designer Philippe Briand devoted all his know-how to the CNB 76, creating a yacht of masterful proportions, suited to all roles.
Designed from the outset to be operated by a small crew, she can also comfortably accommodate a professional crew. Access to the galley and to a generous cabin by way of the cockpit affords the crew genuine privacy. Forward of the saloon, the owner has a true suite, which still leaves two very good cabins amidships for guests. This dual role is also reflected on deck: the massive guest cockpit is never obstructed by controls, which are sent back to the area around the helming stations, above the side decks.
On board, everything is treated as on a One-off: the professional fitting out of the galley, the light-filled environment and even the soundproofing of the engine room. As for the integral garage, it enables a 3.85-m tender with it’s engine to be stowed in less than a minute, an arrangement generally reserved for a 90-foot monohull. Launched in 2014 after six months of offshore trials, twenty two CNB 76s have already been built. With the luxury of her amenities and her extensive customisation options, she is the direct descendant of CNB’s One-offs.
