Description

Hull no. 1 is a luxurious, spacious performance cruiser with sleek and elegant lines built by CNB in France. With the large, longitudinal tender garage, the fantastic, bright deck saloon, the clever four-cabin layout with owner’s cabin forward and the spacious asymmetrical cockpit, this model downscales the luxury of her larger sister CNB 76 to the 60 foot class.

This particular yacht emphasises the sportive character of the CNB 66 with HALL-Spars carbon fibre mast, high-end sail inventory by INCIDENCES and NORTH-Sails as well as the optional performance keel with steel fin and lead bulb (draft: 2.95 m, ballast: 8.500 kg). When specifying the yacht, great attention was spent on easy handling: Furling boom, bow and stern thrusters and electric furlers for both headsails make the yacht suitable for family cruising.

On deck the cockpit now has an offset companionway allowing a full size table to port which lowers into a sun bed, a huge open area aft around the helms with carbon steering wheels and clever seats with integrated instruments. Inside is another world, large open spaces, 4 ensuite cabins and a crew cabin in the forepeak. The Owner’s cabin is forward with a large queenside double bed, as well as a vanity table and en suite. The en-suite VIP cabin to port offers a wide double berth that can be converted into two singles depending on the guest configuration. Ideal for children, the starboard lateral cabin has bunk beds and an electric toilet, while the starboard aft cabin also has a convertible wide double berth with en-suite. The forepeak acts as a crew cabin with a folding bunk, lockers and a workbench.

The galley is port side aft making it very comfortable to use at sea yet open to the saloon to make it a mire sociable space.

Sailing she comes alive, the CNB 66 was designed as the largest sailing yacht that could be handled by a family crew. Speed, Style, Space- the CNB 66 redefines what is possible from a 20 metre yacht.

Designer and naval architect, Philippe Briand, sums the 66 up stating that “We designed the hull with the triple objective of increasing the CNB 66’s volume, performance and seaworthiness. It will be capable of sailing far afield, while still able to be handled by a couple.”

Hull #1 has been maintained to a high standard since new.
